IT was a massive success last year with over 1,100 people packing the Brandon, so it’s no surprise that Kerins O’Rahillys ‘Strictly Club Dancing’ is returning next month.

The GAA club on Strand Road has announced it will take place on Friday, March 16 next in the Mount Brandon Hotel again commencing at 8pm.

The 12 couples have been rehearsing diligently over the last number of weeks and they will be officially revealed at the launch night next Thursday at the clubhouse at 9pm.

Club chairman, Haulie Kerins, in announcing the event, said; “Our inaugural event last year was an unqualified success not alone in terms of funds raised but it also brought renewed energy to our club reconnecting many former members who were delighted to give something back to the club. The event was also very much about our grass roots,  and the  coming together of our Strand Road community for a night of celebration and fun which helped to raise the spirits and morale of the area – we, as a club are very cognisant of the role we play and continue to play in this regard.”

Haulie also thanked Nathan McDonnell of Ballyseedy Home and Garden (and now with a new location at the Wetlands) for renewing their sponsorship this year.
