THE number of passengers traveling through Kerry Airport in 2020 was down 77% on the previous year according to the latest data from the Central Statistics Office.
The impact of COVID-19 travel restrictions saw just 82,959 passengers using the airport as opposed to 369,836 in 2019.
The top route for Kerry was London-Luton in 2020 with 13,045 passengers arriving and 13,144 departures, next was London – Stansted with 9,729 arrivals and 10,796 departures and finally Kerry-Dublin with 8,195 arrivals and 8,713 departures.

The data also showed that in 2020, 8.3 million passengers passed through the main Irish airports, a drop of almost 80% (-78.2%) on the previous year.
The five main airports (Dublin, Cork, Shannon, Knock and Kerry) accounted for 99.6% of all air passenger numbers while Dublin airport accounted for 87.3% of all air passengers carried in 2020.
