Waterford Invitational Open
All roads led to Cappoquin last weekend for Kerry players in Grade C and Grade D (Kerry Div 1 and 2). Thankfully many of the players from the Kingdom were on song on the day as it proved to be a very successful event for the county.
Elaine Hudson (Moyvane) and Maeve Twomey (Killarney) not only claimed gold in the Grade D Ladies Doubles they were also managed to get to the final of the Grade C Ladies Doubles which was a great achievement for the pair.
Maeve then partnered with Paul Kingston (Cork) and claimed the D Mixed title beating the all Kerry partnership of Niamh Hickey (Killarney) and Fergal Hannon (Listowel) in the final.
