Kerry College Student Achieves Third Highest Grade In Ireland In Exams

A YEAR 1 Accounting student in Kerry College has received the third highest grade out of 887 graduates in Ireland this year.

In the past, Lorraine Carey, from Firies, worked in hospitality in Killarney and felt that a career change was needed for some time.

Having always had an interest in numbers, she felt that there were more career opportunities in the accountancy sector.

She heard, through her friends, that the accounting technician course was an excellent career choice which would enable her to progress further in the accounting sector.

Lorraine felt that doing a full time course would suit her best and, after doing some research, she found that Kerry College, Monavalley Campus were running the Accounting Technicians of Ireland Year 1 Course.  She applied for the course and was successful at interview.

Course instructor, Mike Quinlan said that he was delighted for Lorraine as all her hard work and effort paid off.

Lorraine stated that she was delighted with her results and was extremely grateful for the support she got from management and staff at the college. She felt that this course is very worthwhile.

Lorraine has commenced Year 2 of the course at Kerry College, Monavalley Campus and hopes to be as successful in her exams in 2022.
