THERE will be top fashions, super prizes and Kerry GAA stars present at a fundraiser for Tralee Imperials and the Kerry Hospice later this month.
Taking place at the Fels Point Hotel on Friday, November 27, Paul Galvin’s new collection for Dunnes Stores will be displayed on the catwalk, while his Kerry team-mate Kieran Donaghy will help judge the best dressed competitions on the night.
Tralee Imperials Chairman, John Dowling, said the funds raised are vital for the club and of course Kerry Hospice.

“We’ve tied in with Kerry Hospice and that’s very important to us. We are a basketball club and feel it’s very important to give something back to a charity. We plan to make this an annual event. We have two senior teams going and it takes money to organise that. Our sponsors have been very generous, but we need to raise money ourselves. The money raised from an event like this will go into the running of every part of the club,” he said.
Ted Moynihan of Kerry Hospice was glad of the support from Tralee Imperials.
“We’re always grateful to anyone who organises a fundraiser for us. We do need the money as this new palliative care building is costing in the region of €6m and we’re committed to contributing €400,00o a year for five years to staffing it. As well as that, we need to find €100,000 a year for home care services,” he said.
Best Dressed Lady and Gents prizes will be judged by TraleeToday.ie columnist Orlagh Winters and Kerry star Kieran Donaghy.
