ARE you interested in making movies?

Well the Donal Walsh Livelife Foundation’s Livelife Film Competition is back and was launched on Saturday with the help of Kerry star Barry John Keane at the Fels Point Hotel.

The third “Live Life Love” Day will take place at the Brandon Conference Centre in Tralee on February 10 (11am – 1pm) in honour of Donal – an amazing teenager who through his tragic circumstances has provided a great legacy.

There will be sports, music and TV personalities to present the awards and entertain the audience.

The competition is a national one, open to all, the idea is to create a two minute clip of what living life means to people.  This year the title for the competition is Live Life “Our World”.

The competition culminates with an awards ceremony where the shortlisted movies are screened and the winners announced.

Awards are presented to winning students and adults who took part in the Live Life National Film Competition and the event itself is a celebration of life and love!

The short films produced as part of this competition in the past have been of an excellent standard and provide a great insight emotionally to what Live Life means to people.

The atmosphere at the event with many young people present really proves life affirming and about 1,500 attendees are expected at February’s event.

The event is supported by local, regional and international businesses.  A major sponsor is Dairymaster and Dr Edmond Harty CEO, who is a great supporter of the positive mental health campaign with the Live Life Foundation.

Other local businesses, the Fels Point Hotel, Alan Johnson Sound, the Brandon Hotel and Digitalbuzz are all supporting the event this year, which will ensure the competition is a great success and the awards concert a day to remember.

Short-listed films will also be screened at the Dingle International Film Festival 2016.
