KINGDOM Pride in Kerry 2023 (KPINK) has announced that Killarney will be the capital town of the 2023 Pride Festival.

Taking place over a full week, from July 10-16, across Kerry, the festival will be celebrating the LGBTQI+ community of Kerry.

A broad range of family-friendly events will be taking place during the day in Killarney on Saturday, July 15th. Kicking off the programme of events in the 2023 Kingdom Pride capital will be a nature walk in Killarney national park.

They will hold Pride in the Park, the event which is at the core of the festival, in Killarney House and Gardens. Pat Dawson of the National Parks and Wildlife Services in Killarney said he is thrilled to be hosting the event, and is looking forward to a great day of family fun.

Night time drag events will also be taking place in Killarney to round off the day of celebrations. The decision to rotate Pride capitals is to emphasise Kingdom Pride’s ethos that Pride is important everywhere, and not just in big urban centres.

Kingdom Pride in Kerry will be celebrating St Patrick’s Day in Killarney this year. They are inviting anyone who wants to march with them in the parade on March 17th to reach out to them on social media.
