TRALEE Chamber Alliance organised a familiarisation trip for the front-of-house staff of member hotels and attractions and the Tourist Information Kiosk Volunteers on Wednesday.

The group of over 25 people visited a number of tourism hot-spots throughout the day with a view to better informing visitors to Tralee and the surrounding area of the wonderful choice of activities and sights on our doorstep.

The tour started with coffee and scones at the Rose Hotel followed by a guided Guided Town Walk and tour of Kerry County Museum to which is home to the Roger Casement exhibition.

Everyone then departed for Fenit to see the St Brendan Heritage Park and Jet Kayaking activity in the harbour.

The afternoon leg of the tour featured a trip to Kerry Head to learn (in the water or from the shore) about Wild Water Adventures with an opportunity to jump into the sea from the cliffs.

A visit to Ardfert Cathedral followed and after a guided tour of the ancient site, the tour then returned to Kirby’s Brogue Inn, Tralee for food and drinks.

They’re all set then for a summer of informing visitors about our great town!
