Less Than Five Additional COVID-19 Cases In Kerry, 604 More Nationally

LIKE yesterday, there were less than five new cases of COVID-19 reported for Kerry at the NPHET briefing this evening.

When the number is less than five, the exact figure is revealed the following day on the COVID data hub on gov.ie.

There were 13 additional deaths and 604 more cases reported nationally. Of the deaths reported today, 12 occurred in March. The median age of those who died was 77 years. The age range was 51-93.

The 14 day incidence of new cases for Kerry is 33.2 per 100,000 people. There have been 49 cases reported in the same period and the rolling five day average of cases is 2.

Kerry is the county with the lowest incidence of cases in the past 14 days. The national incidence rate over the past 14 days is 164.5.

224 in Dublin, 45 in Donegal, 36 in Kildare, 34 in Limerick, 26 in Tipperary and the remaining 239 cases are spread across 20 other counties.

There have now been 234, 541 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland and 4,666 people who died with the virus since the start of the pandemic.

As of 8am today, 322 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 66 are in ICU. 18 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.

As of March 25th 2021, 760,168 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Ireland:
• 548,945 people have received their first dose
• 211,223 people have received their second dose
