FORMER Limerick hurling player, Ciaran Carey is set to be ratified as the new Kerry Senior Hurling Manager at the next meeting of the County Committee on November 2.
The Patrickswell clubman had a distinguished 15 year playing career with Limerick.
He was a key member of the Treaty county’s team during the 1990s and collected two Munster titles, two National Hurling League titles and three All-Star awards.
He has had two spells in charge of his native county’s Under 21 team and also served as a Senior Selector under Donal O’Grady.
He has also been in charge of the Patrickswell senior team whom he guided to the Limerick senior final this year.
He will name his management team at a later date.
