TRALEE man Mark Fitzgerald has been appointed manager of the Clare senior football team on a two-year term.
The former Kerins O’Rahillys footballer and coach was ratified by the Clare County Board on Tuesday night and takes over from Colm Collins who recently stepped down from the role.
He had been interim manager of the Limerick senior football team following the resignation of Ray Dempsey in March but left the position at the end of the season in July.

He has extensive coaching and management experience having managed Kerins O’Rahillys in 2009 when they lost the Munster Club football final to Clare side Kilmurry-Ibricane.
He was later involved with Kerry development squads, a coach and selector with the Kerins O’Rahillys club in 2019 and 2020 before joining James Costello’s backroom team as a selector with the Kerry minors in 2021.
The Kerins O’Rahillys club wished Mark every success with Clare.
