IT’S going to be one of the highlights of the year in Mercy Mounthawk next Wednesday when the students hold a fashion show in aid of the school extension fund.

The theme of the show is “One Month ‘Til Christmas” and you can expect to see the latest fashions from local retailers as well as being entertained by music, dancing and even a student beat-boxer, all taking place in the school gym.

The Transition Year group are organising the event which is funded by Tralee Credit Union. The clothes will be modelled by the 4th year students on the night as is tradition in the school.

The students will also put on a day show for the junior students in the school during the day which creates a great buzz around the school as it is a show that both students and teachers look forward to seeing.

Many even say it is the highlight of the TY programme for students as they are fully involved and is so well organised.

Chairpersons of the Fashion Show committee in the school, Eleanor Feeley and David Broderick spoke about just how much hard work and dedication has gone into this year’s show to keep it up to the high standard set by previous shows, but every student knows that all their efforts will be worth it.

“We really hope that the public will support us by attending the night which is sure to be worth it, definitely a show that’ll get you set in the Christmas spirit!” they said.

Tickets for the afternoon show (2pm) are €5, while entrance for the evening show, which starts at 8pm is €10. For more ticket details contact the school on 066-7102550.
