Met Eireann Says We’re In For Some Heavy Rain On Thursday

IT’S about to get a bit wet tomorrow afternoon after the lovely sunshine we’ve been enjoying today.

Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow Rainfall Warning for eight counties including Kerry.

In the 24 hour period from Thursday afternoon to Friday afternoon, there’ll be between 30 and 50 mm of rain in many areas with a risk of flooding.

The warning is in effect from Thursday at 2pm until Friday at 2pm. The counties affected are Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford.

Meanwhile there’s a Status Yellow Low Temperature Warning for Ireland in effect from 9pm tonight until 9am on Thursday morning. Tonight, temperatures will fall to -3 or -4 degrees in many areas.
