MUNSTER Technological University (MTU) has received over €2 million in Springboard+ funding.
The Springboard+ programme provides free and heavily subsidised upskilling and reskilling opportunities through higher education in areas where there are identified skills needs. Many of these courses are aimed at jobseekers and those returning to the workforce.
The Springboard+ funded places are spread across a wide range of MTU’s courses. Applicants can choose from programmes in business, science, agriculture, culinary arts and much more. Candidates can earn honours degree awards, postgraduate diplomas and higher certificates.

The programme has seen great success in providing people with the qualifications they need to thrive in the modern job market and providing employers with the skilled workers they need to succeed in today’s economy. We are delighted to receive over €2 million to further invest in our Springboard+ offerings.”

The Springboard+ courses are managed by the Higher Education Authority (HEA), on behalf of the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, and are tailored towards the unemployed, self-employed, returners to the workforce and individuals seeking to upskill or reskill. All courses approved for funding under Springboard+ are selected following a competitive tendering process. In particular, courses with a proven track record in getting people back into employment are recommended for funding.
