Na Gaeil Under 7s

Fé 7: Well done to our U7s yesterday morning. Great training session by all. We’ll welcome Ardfert to the club for our next Go-Games, next Sunday at 11am. Training continues on Thursday at 6pm. New members are always welcome so come along if you want to give football a try.

Fé 12 (cailíní): Our u12 girls will be away to Fossa next Thursday at 7pm.

Fé 13 Rose Cup: Na Gaeil hosted the Rose Cup last Saturday. The conditions were favourable which made for a fantastic day for all teams. We had teams from Kerry, Dublin and Cork in Na Gaeil on the day.

Our u13s were in a group with Dr. Crokes, Ballymac and Cuala from Dublin. After some very tight and intense games we were successful in all the group games, topping our group and setting up a semi-final versus a very impressive Listowel Emmets side.

It was a real tit for tat battle with Listowel’s deadly goal getters causing us untold trouble. Thankfully our own lads showed great nerve to hold on and win the game by 2 points. Austin Stacks came out as winners from the Ballyrickard section, setting up yet another titanic battle against our own lads.

After an intensely competitive game, we were unfortunate to lose by the minimum. In the shield final Milltown/Castlemaine defeated John Mitchels. Overall a very enjoyable day for everyone involved. Many thanks to all the parents and club members who brought food and helped out on the day.

Fé 15: Last Wednesday night (7th) the St. Brendans Board u15 team defeated West Kerry in Round 2 of the County Championship. Maith sibh! They will face North Kerry this Wednesday night in Round 3 at 7pm in Blennerville.

Fé 17: The St. Brendan’s Board minor team have recorded 2 wins in the last week in the Keane’s Supervalu Minor County Championship. They defeated West Kerry & Mid Kerry and have topped their group. They await the draw to see who they will face in the quarter final.

Senior Men: The draw has been made for Round 1 of the Senior Men’s County Championship and Na Gaeil have been drawn at home to Shannon Rangers. The fixture will go ahead on the weekend of Sept. 14th/15th.

Senior Ladies: Good luck to our Senior Ladies who are away to Rathmore tonight (Monday) in Round 1 of the Bon Secours County Championship. Throw-in in Rathbeg will be at 7.30pm.

Changes to Car Park: We would like to make patrons aware of the new wheelchair accessible parking bays and the yellow box for ambulance parking which have been added to the club’s car parks recently. Please keep them free at all times for people who need them.
