New Principal Appointed At Kerry College of Further Education

MARY Lucey has been appointed Principal of the Kerry College of Further Education in Tralee.

With a well-established media-profile in Kerry, Mary has an excellent track record of over 20 years experience working in the third-level sector.

She is known for her progressive and innovative leadership, with an excellent track record of collaboration and engagement with industry, media and all levels of educational establishments throughout the county.

Mary introduced a number of award-winning and nationally recognised initiatives while working in the IT Tralee and was awarded a Fellowship from the Irish Computer Society (ICS) for her promotion of Technology in the educational sector.

She was awarded the 2016 Connect Women in Media Award for her outstanding contribution to supporting business women in Kerry.

Mary is delighted with the new appointment; “I have every confidence that, with Carmel Kelly, Deputy Principal, and the team of staff, Kerry College of Further Education will be a hub of excellence and a leader in the provision of further education and training in Tralee and beyond.  I am looking forward to taking up the position and have exciting plans for the College.”
