THE North Kerry Bridge Congress 2015 was launched by Mayor of Kerry, Pat McCarthy, at the Meadowlands Hotel on Tuesday, the venue where the event will take place from August 28-30.
Card players for Ireland and abroad will be giving themselves a treat with a trip to Tralee for a top class and friendly Bridge Congress.
Kicking off with a mixed pairs, then open pairs for all three days, it continues with a two session congress pairs for the the Billy and Peig Mullins trophy and a first prize of €400. Also an intermediate pairs two session event with a first prize of €400 Euro which is a first in Tralee.
Mayor of Kerry Cllr Pat McCarthy congratulated President Billy Mullins on the Bridge Congress which is a major attraction to Tralee and
the Mayor said it is very important that it gets good media exposure.
Similar events are organized in Kenmare in November and Tralee International Bridge congress in December and should bring over 800 bridge players from all over Ireland and abroad to Kerry and with the support of Kerry County Council and Fáilte Ireland will be a
good boost to the local economy.
