This event will be the first opportunity for juvenile members to participate in a competition in over 18 months.

The Feis in the Park will be held in accordance with the prevailing public health guidelines and will put in place any measures necessary in that regard.

Speaking at the launch Cllr Terry O’Brien said: “When the unfortunate news came through recently that the Rose of Tralee Festival would not take place this year, I said we would try to have some smaller events which would give people something to look forward to. I think the Feis in the Park will be a wonderful occasion and will allow us to showcase the beautiful amenity that is Pearse Park.”

CE of Tralee Chamber, Ken Tobin welcomed the event: ‘We have been engaging with the Coimisiún over the past number of months with a view to supporting this event in Tralee, and are delighted to use this as an opportunity to showcase what Tralee has to offer. The event is part of a series of small events being planned in Tralee, and hope that it will bring a lift to business in the town.’
