WELL hello October! We certainly changed seasons with a bang this week.
The flip flops and light cottons are finally packed away to the back of the wardrobe and if I am honest I am delighted. I have said before and I will say it again I am a Winter Girl, Winters by name and Winters by nature.
So what do we need to have in our wardrobe for this season?
Continued below…
• A warm coat: This is probably one of the most important items of clothing that we buy each year.
Your personal taste will determine whether or not you decide on a wool coat, a parka, a quilted coat but some things to keep in mind are that it should fit well and tick all your boxes. Check out Divas and Dudes ladies selection for super coats.
• Party Dress: Thankfully party season will be happening soon and you really need to have that one dress hanging in your wardrobe that will take you anywhere.
That dress that you know you look a million dollars in and takes very little effort if you are rushing, and you know will make you feel good. Shindig is always worth a look for that dress.

• Quirky Top: Iota is my go to shop for that piece, you know the piece that you can pull on over a pair of denims, a skirt or leggings and know that you can conquer the world. A top that has some embellishment or a funky shape that you can wear during the day and at night you can dress it up.
• Killer heels: Ok, so I get that unless you are some sort of magician or stilt walker, you will not be able to manage heels for more than a few hours so daytime is a no- no.
However if you are like me and always on the run then keep a pair in the car or at work that you can easily change a semi casual look into a dressy look.
Minx-Wildpair is a shop that you will certainly find these and while you are there make sure and look at their funky fashion collection.
• Winter Boots: With the current downpours that we are experiencing waterproof is a good option when choosing your boots. If the expert from New Zealand is right and we are going to have a very cold and snow filled winter then fur or fleece-lined is a must.
Walsh Brothers have a really great range of boots and also stock my favourite for the wet weather, Hunter Wellingtons.
So ladies, these key pieces will certainly get you through the months ahead and remember as always to try as often as you can to shop local. Tralee has wonderful shops and these shop owners are at the core of our community so please support them.
Until next week,
Stay stylish!
