FOR the die-hard Kerry supporters who might not have a ticket for Saturday’s big game or who can’t make it to Dublin for the All-Ireland Senior Football Final replay, Tralee Municipal District is inviting supporters and fans to watch the match on a specially commissioned big screen in The Square in the town centre.

Pre-match entertainment organised by Tralee Chamber Alliance will get the excitement building from about 4.30pm ahead of the match throw-in at 6pm.

Fans are urged to turn out in their green and gold and show the county colours and enjoy the party atmosphere.

Local councillor, Pa Daly, initially made the proposal to Tralee Municipal District. The Mayor of Tralee, Cllr Jim Finucane said the atmosphere in Tralee ahead of the replay has been wonderful.

“The whole town is looking exceptionally well and is bedecked in green and gold. I want to pay tribute to the staff of the Municipal District as well as all the local businesses who have ensured the town is looking so well.”

“I hope people will come along to The Square on Saturday evening to enjoy the festivities and to cheer on the team and management as they do battle with Dublin in Croke Park,” said Cllr Finucane.

Tralee Municipal District has arranged plenty of county colours throughout the town centre and thanked electrician, Seán Murphy, for his support in that regard.
