A LOCAL pharmacy raised hundreds of euro last month in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.

O’Sullivan’s Pharmacy’s ‘Cups Against Cancer’ Coffee Morning back on Friday, October 11, saw visitors to the business at the Centrepoint building on Edward Street treated to cakes, pastries and a beverage, all for a modest donation.

“We were thrilled to be able to present a cheque for €677 to John O’Donoghue Irish Cancer Society last week,” said Catherine Duke of O’Sullivan’s Pharmacy.

“John and his wife Bridie told us about the incredible work done by volunteer drivers every day, bringing patients to and from hospital appointments. It is a wonderful service to be able to provide and such amazing commitment that John and his colleagues make out of the kindness of their hearts. A massive thank you to all our wonderful customers who donated to this fantastic cause,” said Catherine.
