TraleeToday.ie’s coverage of the Rose of Tralee Festival Parade is brought to you by AIB Tralee…
THERE was that ‘dirty mist’ around town for most of the evening, but thankfully it cleared for much of the Rose of Tralee Parade on Saturday night.
The crowds showed up as usual for the event, but it was shorter than usual because there were only 32 Roses taking part as opposed to 64 over the past few years.
That didn’t take away from the colour and atmosphere though, as thousands enjoyed the fun with colourful floats, fantastic bands and Brian Hurley and John Drummey did fantastic jobs as MCs for the event. Brian even got Sergeant Tim O’Keeffe to do a little dancing.
The Roses had a great time too as they waved to the locals as well as many family members and friends amongst the throngs of people present. It all ended with a spectacular fireworks display to truly augment the wonderful festival atmosphere in town. Scroll down for photos…
