FOR the second time in a month, thousands of people lined the streets of Tralee to wave and cheer on an evening of celebration.

While it was the victorious footballers being hailed back in July, the crowds on Saturday night were celebrating the return of the Rose parade after a period of three years.

The weather didn’t play ball though and the rain came just as the parade started. However, the crowds stayed to see the 33 Roses who waved from the floats in what was another extravaganza of noise and colour.

The evening came to a close with the spectacular fireworks display leaving the crowd to enjoy the rest of the entertainment on the streets and in the bars of the town. Scroll down for photos…

  1. what time was the Freddie Mercury act on? I was there for 7pm, which was the time it was supposed to be onand there wasn’t anything on.
