YESTERDAY was an emotional one all over town for parents of children starting school.

The scenes were repeated in each school as parents left off the little ones to begin their educational journey. At St Brendan’s NS in Blennerville, there were 27 boys and girls getting used to their new surroundings and teacher Edel O’Sullivan.

Meanwhile, teacher Gail Kelly at Tralee Educate Together saw a larger influx of junior infants than last year to the growing school, and all were settling in well when we called. Scroll down for photos…
