THE reigning Munster Club Champions are in a real fight for survival now, after they lost their relegation play-off game in Castleisland today.

But their arch-rivals across town, Kerins O’Rahillys have secured their senior status after a victory in their game.

Stacks went down by 2-6 to 2-9 to Milltown/Castlemaine in an, at times, ill-tempered match.

It’s a huge blow to the Rockies who will be relegated if they fail to win against one of the three other losers – Laune Rangers, Ardfert and St Michael’s Foilmore – from today’s play-off games.

Kerins O’Rahillys won their second match in the double-header at Castleisland by 1-12 to 0-9 and never really looked in danger.

They can relax now, but Stacks have two more games to save themselves the ignominy of being relegated a year after Munster glory.

We’ll have full match reports and photos from both games tomorrow. In the meantime here’s some shots from the games…
