PHOTOS: Brogue Decorations Bring Christmas Cheer In Bleak Times

The windows at Kirby’s Brogue Inn are even more festive than usual this year.

THE Christmas lights in Tralee have done much to lift the spirits in these dark times, even though there aren’t many shoppers to enjoy them.

The hospitality sector has been hit worst of all, so it was heartening to see that Kevin and Fiona at Kirby’s Brogue Inn went above and beyond their normal decorations this year to create something special at the Rock Street institution.

As evidenced by their photos posed on facebook last night, the windows are festooned with festive images, while the facade is lit up like a Christmas tree. They did the same thing at Halloween to put smiles on the faces of people passing by.

All that’s missing in those windows now are diners kicking off the party season, as they would have been this time last year.

Hopefully, they’ll get a chance to safely welcome back customers within the next couple of weeks and we’ll be glad to see them and the many other hospitality businesses in town, open again.

In the meantime, you can support The Brogue, or the other restaurants and hotels in town, by purchasing a gift voucher to support those local businesses still closed due to restrictions. Scroll down for photos…
