KERRY Camogie is in rude health as the new season begins this month.
Last year saw the seniors win the National League Division 2A title and the minors victorious in the All-Ireland Camogie ‘C’ final so there was much to celebrate at their annual social in The Rose Hotel on Friday night.
Around 130 players, their families and board officials were present on a night where camogie legend Ursula Jacob was the special guest.

The multi All-Ireland winning Wexford woman presented the medals to the senior and minor winning teams, as well as to the 2021 Munster Junior Championship winning team.
Ger McCarthy has been involved in Kerry Camogie for a number of years — including a five year stint as Chairperson — and said the future is bright for the sport here.
“Camogie is in a good place in the county, we have a number of minors stepping up to senior this year so it’s going well. It’s really caught on in the schools in Tralee which is important and there’s good days ahead,” he said.
Guests enjoyed a bubbly reception followed by a delicious meal before the many presentations, while the Paudie Coffey Band took the party into the early hours. Scroll down for photos…
