IT’S been a long time coming but ‘Sickly Come Dancing — The Relapse’ was certainly worth the wait last night.
Well over 600 people — mostly staff from University Hospital Kerry — gathered for the event organised by the UHK Kerry Sports & Social Club, which was supposed to take place in March 2020, but was delayed due to Covid.
Eleven couples, all hospital staff representing different departments, had been practicing for months with choreographer Honor Hurley and their hard work paid off with some amazing performances on the dance floor.

Tim Moynihan proved a great MC with judges Cllr Deirdre Ferris, Mary Gardiner, Oliver Hurley and Derry Fleming praising the contestants for their efforts before deciding that Fiona Colgan and David Heaslip were the best movers.
There was also a public vote and Triona Brassil and Kieran Johnson proved the most popular duo on the night. All money raised will go towards the Friends of University Hospital Kerry.
