A DRY day was conducive to good football on Saturday as clubs from around the county took part in the annual Sandra Keane U13 Memorial Tournament at the John Mitchels GAA Grounds.
Sponsored again this year by Daughton Plant Hire, the tournament, which is run by the North Kerry Ladies Football Board, saw hundreds of young ladies take to the pitches for a feast of football
Among the clubs taking part were local clubs Kerins O’Rahillys, John Mitchels, Na Gaeil and Austin Stacks.

There were four trophies up for grabs; Cup, Shield, Plate and Trophy. Winners of the Cup were Abbeydorney, Fr Caseys were winners of the Shield, Kerins O’Rahillys won the Plate and MKL Gaels the Trophy.
The tournament is in memory of Sandra Keane who was not only a player, but she managed teams and was a loyal supporter to her club Kerins O’Rahillys until her untimely death in 2007. Scroll down for photos…
