IT was an emotional evening for many at Tralee Bay Wetlands on Wednesday for the sixth annual Celebration of Light event in aid of Recovery Haven.
Held in association with the Rose of Tralee International Festival, the ‘Celebration of Light’ has become a very important annual community event which gives an opportunity for all those whose lives have been touched by cancer to come together and share experiences and celebrate the lives of families and friends.

Some of the many Roses and their escorts were also there and participated in setting the lanterns in the water with all the other people present.
Breda Carmody was MC for the evening and she introduced a number of people who played a part in the proceedings, including Billy Keane, Anthony O’Gara and Rose of Tralee 2016 Maggie McEldowney.
