“TIS only massive.”

That’s what the ladies were saying as they watched Jamie Dornan in ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ last night. Yes they really were impressed with the size of that screen.

The OmniplexMAXX experience finally came to Tralee last night. We had a good look at what it offers before the punters came in and it rocks…literally!

So what are customers getting for the extra money? Well you can sway back and forth in the comfortable red leather seats as you watch the movie.

There’s a giant silver screen, 15.5 metres wide and 9 metres high, with HD Digital projection and a Dolby Atmos sound system, filling the room with ‘moving audio’ which flows around each and every cinemagoer.

While we didn’t stay for the movie, but if the experience looks as good as the 300-seater theatre then they’re on to a winner. Scroll down for more photos of the interior, plus people who attended ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ in the theatre last night…
