THERE were excited little faces all around Moyderwell Primary School on Friday morning as pupils prepared to take to the stage for the annual Christmas concert.
“A lot of preparation went into today,” said Principal Moira Quinlan. “It’s a small enough concert, with just three groups taking part; the ‘Colour My Strings’ violin group; the Junior Infants and the Little House Montessori which is our pre-school on-site.”

“It’s a short concert but the combination of the three groups is magnificent. Some of the children in the ‘Colour My Strings’ group, under the tuition of Lucy Tanner and co-ordinated by Deputy Principal Maura Jones, have been playing for three years so they are in a position to put on a little orchestra onstage, so it’s wonderful to see their progression,” added Ms Quinlan.
The children were dressed up as elves, little Santas, angels and shepherds as they took to the stage in front of a packed hall of parents and grandparents and dazzled them with their wonderful performances.
