ANOTHER landmark day in the history of Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn arrived on Monday with the official opening of the new extension and sports facilities.
Staff and students gave Minister for Education Norma Foley and Bishop of Kerry Ray Browne a wonderful welcome for the opening of the extension which consists of five new modern, state-of-the-art classrooms and four resource rooms.
This new development elevates the Gaelscoil to a 16 classroom school enabling all pupils to benefit from a two classroom structure for each and every year, from junior infants right through to 6th class.
Minister Foley also opened an all-weather multi sports play area and Tralee’s first and only ball wall which is already proving a hit with pupils. Scroll down for photos…
