THE year in Kerry Camogie was celebrated at the annual awards social in Ballyroe Heights Hotel on Friday night with over 170 people attending.
Micheál Ó Muircheartaigh was the special guest at the occasion where presentations were made to teams who excelled throughout the year.
“It’s been a fantastic year for Kerry Camogie,” said PRO Risteárd Ó Fuaráin. “Cillard and Causeway did very well in Féile, the standout performances would have been the Kerry Under 15s and Clanmaurice getting to an All-Ireland junior club final and representing Kerry with distinction. We’re very proud of all the teams this year.”

“We’re delighted as well that Niamh Leen, Patrice Diggins and the Clanmaurice team were honoured at the Kerry Sports Star Awards in Killarney last week. That was great recognition for Kerry Camogie. Patrice was also voted Munster GAA Camogie Player of the Year as well which is a great honour for her. Hopefully 2018 will be an even better year,” said Risteárd. Scroll down for photos…
