FOR the second week in a row, a Tralee team has been knocked out of the championship by a Killarney side.
Kerins O’Rahillys were on the receiving end of a first half blitz of goals from the Legion which ultimately proved the difference in Fitzgerald Stadium.
James O’Donoghue netted three times in all during the game which finished 4-9 to 1-15 and leaves no Tralee team in the final four of the competition.
A second-half penalty from the Kerry maestro put his side six points in front and despite coming back at them, Kerins O’Rahillys couldn’t make up the difference.
Tomorrow we’ll have a full match report with loads of action shots and Strand Road fans in the stands.
For now though, the Stacks and Strand Road sides face another mini-competition to save their senior status.
It’ll be a long winter.
