AROUND 370 people registered for the Tralee 10 Miler and 5k Road Race which took place on Saturday from The Rose Hotel.
Organised by Michelle Greaney of Optimal Fitness, she said she was delighted with the turnout which was well up on last year’s event which drew around 300 participants.
Runners were also helping out the Palliative Care Unit at UHK which was the chosen charity to benefit on the day.
The first three men home in the 10 Miler were Robert Purcell in 01:00:45, followed by Stephen Moore in 01:00:53 and Niall Thomson in third on 01:01:21.
The first three women home were Grainne O’Callaghan in 01:07:07, Mary O’Shea in 01:10:37 and Michelle O’Regan in 01:13:02.
In the 5k race, the first three men home were James Daley in 00:17:19, John Heaphy in 00:17:26 and Danny Murphy in 00:18:40.
The first three women home were Niamh O’Mahony in 00:18:33, Catriona Lenihan in 00:21:29 and Rita Brouder in 00:22:16. All the results can be found by clicking here. Scroll down for photos…
