THERE was great support from passing motorists for the people who held a protest outside the HSE buildings in Rathass to show support for the victim of the CervicalCheck scandal.

Sinn Fein Cllr Toireasa Ferris was among the men and women present holding placards and encouraging people to blast their car horns in support of their protest, which they duly did.

They were there to show support for the bravery of Vicky Phelan, Emma Nic MhathĂșna and the numerous other women who continue to be affected by the scandal, to express their anger at the HSE and the Government and to call for changes to the system. Scroll down for photos…

  1. Shocking, what the HSE and the current Government have allowed happen under their watch – shame on them especially the current and previous Minister for Health.
I feel strongly there should be accountability within the HSE and the Government. Indeed, heads should role with the HSE and the Government and legal action taken.
Some justice for the Irish citizens who have died or who are dying due to this cover-up is clearly deserved.
Believe me, I will be voting with this in mind when the next general election comes around – it’s the least I can do for the victims and their loved ones.
