THE Town Park was the beautiful setting for a charity lunchtime yoga class on Wednesday. as over 30 people put down their mats for a spot of relaxation and exercise.
Maeve Ferris of Ebb And Flow Yoga, was behind the idea and explained how it came about.
“Today is International Yoga Day and it’s also the Summer Solstice, so it’s an important day in the Yoga calendar,” said Maeve, who teaches yoga in classes in various venues in town.

“I do some work with Sera Husky Rescue and Adapt Women’s refuge, so they are two charities close to my heart. I wanted to do something outdoors so I decided to do a class for charity on such an important day,” said Maeve.
Hugh Culloty’s supplied the mic and speaker for the day and stationery was provided by Manor West Hotel. The Ashe Hotel offered to provide a space for the class if the weather turned bad.
Luckily though, it stayed dry and people enjoyed a relaxing session before many headed back to work. For more on Maeve Ferris’ yoga classes check out her Facebook page here Scroll down for photos…
