IT was a great two days of performances from the people at St John Of God who have been working together with local secondary school students on a musical which went down a storm in Siamsa Tire this week.
‘I Have A Dream’ was worked on by the clients from the St John Of God centre in Monavalley with help from volunteers from Transition Year in Mercy Mounthawk Secondary School.
There was a great crowd present on Tuesday and Wednesday nights to see the results of all the hard work put in over the last number of weeks come to fruition.
The play follows the story of Sophie and Sky as they prepare to tie the knot to the soundtrack of the Abba classics.
The play was directed and choreographed by Joe Burkett and was organised musically by Lisa Curran. All involved were delighted to see such large numbers attend on the night as it was a great reward for the cast, all of whom suffer from various disabilities, to see their hard work pay off.
