WHILE the fireworks were kicking off in the town centre, over 65 people were arriving in The Rose Hotel for a swish night out to welcome 2018.
While many hotels used to host New Year’s Eve balls in the past, The Rose Hotel was the only place to hold a black tie event and guests paying €75 a head were treated to a champagne and canapés reception, followed by a gourmet feast of five courses.
Guests came from as far away as Clare and Tipperary for the night, where entertainment came from Renovator and a DJ until the wee hours. There was also a champagne toast at midnight to see in the new year. Scroll down for photos from the event…
