Places Filling Up Fast For Tralee 10 Miler/5k Road Race

THERE’S just over three weeks to go until a popular running event returns to after a break of two years.

Michelle Greaney of MG Coaching is organising the Tralee 10 Miler and 5k Road Race which takes place from The Rose Hotel on Saturday, February 12 at 11am and places are filling up fast.

Once again, Michelle’s chosen charity is Kerry Hospice Foundation, for which she has raised thousands of euros over the past number of years through her running events.

The Tralee 10 miler will bring together a combination of club athletes and recreational runners over a relatively flat fast course taking in the outskirts of Tralee.

For the 10 Miler, there will be cash prizes for the top 3 male and female; trophies for top 3 male and female finishers and also for 1st places in the o/40, 0/50, 0/60 categories. A bespoke medal will be given to all participants.

For the 5k race, there will be trophies for the first 3 male and female in the 5k; for 1st Junior (16-19) male and female; for 1st U16 male and female and a bespoke medal for all finishers.

Entry fee for the 10 Miler is €25 + €1.20c transaction fee and 5k entry is €15 + .50c transaction fee. The event is capped at 350 participants. Marshalls and water stations will be present throughout the course.
