LOCALS will have a chance to play a game of pool against an Irish snooker legend later this month in Kilflynn.

Former world champion Ken Doherty will be in Parkers Pub and Beer Garden in the village on Friday, August 23 for a fundraiser in aid of Kilflynn Community Together.

Ken, who famously defeated Stephen Hendry in the 1997 world championship final, will test himself against the locals when he presents an evening of pool in the bar.
