Tommy Casey tapped over for Causeway on six minutes to put Causeway ahead three points to two and from there on Causeway led to the end.
Michael Boyle, Daniel O’Carroll and Padraig Boyle had points for Ballyduff before the halftime whistle, Brandon Barrett provided Causeway with a host of points from frees, Tadgh Flynn drove over a monster of a pointed free from downtown.
Brian Murphy added two points and Colum Harty had the last score of the half with point to leave the halftime score Ballyduff 0-5 Causeway 0-14.
The second half was another half an hour of an exchange of frees between Padraig Boyle and Brandon Barrett as Ballyduff were unable to make any great headway in attack against a crowded Causeway back line.
Causeway added five points to Ballyduff’s three. Ballyduff played like a group who had an eye on their football game against Valentia on Sunday, while Causeway seem to be building good momentum for the championship experimenting with players in different positions with Brian Murphy lining out at centre forward. Final score Ballyduff 0-8 Causeway 0-19.
