ROSE FESTIVAL: Four Things To See And Do Today

TraleeToday.ie’s coverage of the Rose of Tralee International Festival is brought to you by AIB Tralee

.

This will brighten up you Monday. There’s still loads to see and do around town all day and all of the night…

1. Family fun all over town…

The weekend may be over but the town centre and Town Park will still be awash with street performers, children’s entertainers, musicians and more for the day.

Also there’s some tasty food at the markets. Don’t miss the fun.

2. Bring your dog to the show…

The annual Paw And Tails dog show in the Town Park is always a huge attraction. There’ll be a whole host of categories so no matter what dog you have, they’ll be in with a chance of some prizes. It goes on between 2pm and 4pm.

3. Take a trip down Memory Lane…

If it’s a little Rose of Tralee history you want, then look no further than three exhibitions in town. In the Kerry County Library there’s the Rose of Tralee Historic Exhibition, Memorabilia and Memories, while in another part of the library there’s the Mulchinick Symposium Fact and Fiction which explores the history of the Mulchinock family and the Rose of Tralee.

The fashion of the last 60 years will be exhibited at the Ashe Memorial Hall. You can see dresses worn by Roses from 1959 to 2017

4. Music around the town…

If you’re not watching the Rose Selection on TV, then head on to the streets for a host of entertainment. Big Generator are in The Square from 9.30pm to 10.30pm, elsewhere the Mall has music from the afternoon til late.

The pubs also have some great music with Danny Goggin in the Brogue and many more acts around the town.
