BRUDDY BURROWS MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT
The Bruddy Burrows Memorial U12 Tournament took place last Saturday at Moyderwell and was as usual a fantastic event with great basketball action played throughout the day in both Moyderwell and Pres Gym Tralee.
In the end there could only be one winner and St. Brendan’s U12s coached by Nathan Roche claimed victory by 33-25 in a cracking Cup final against St. Mary’s Castleisland.
The hosts dominated the decider to win out in an exciting decider with Ryan Sheehy from St. Brendan’s voted MVP. St. Brendan’s captain Gearoid White accepted the Bruddy Burrows Memorial Cup from Seanie Burrows.
In the Shield Final Tralee Imperials overcame St. Anne’s to win out in the end. It was a Kerry clean sweep with Gneeveguilla claiming the Plate title with a win over Moycullen.
Thanks to everybody who contributed to the running of the tournament that Bruddy himself would have been proud to see and the big crowd that turned up to witness a great display of underage basketball in Tralee.
Thanks to all the teams for competing including Dublin Lions, Moycullen, Sligo All Stars, St. Joseph’s, St. Mary’s, St. Anne’s, Gneeveguilla, Tralee Imperials and TK Bobcats.
