Keep practicing all those fundamental movement ball skills at home to build a great foundation for future sports. Very well done to Adam and Isobel today who joined in all the games with great enthusiasm. Thanks for the offer of more help for our hospitality rota to provide the juice and fruit weekly. Any more volunteers are welcome!

U7

Well done everyone today keep the practice going plenty of kicking and solo and hopping also kicking with both legs and catching see you all next Sunday. Well Done to Kai who was our player of the week this week.

U8 Girls

We hosted Laune Rangers and Miltown Castlemaine this morning in Blennerville the games were very competitive, and our girls performed admirably showing great skill and passion.
Our girls are showing massive improvements every week with all these games.
Regards, Coaches.

U9

Our U9 boys were in great form for training on Sunday morning in preparation for Kerry’s great win! They all flew through the skills stations and played a super game to finish. Thanks to coaches Noel and James for taking the session. We have a game away to Bally/Asdee this coming Tuesday at 6:30pm.

U10 Girls

We took a short hop to neighbours John Mitchell’s tonight for this week summer schedule match and the coaches couldn’t be prouder of how the girls performed.!!

They played two competitive matches and more than accounted for their opposition in both with some outstanding teamwork, solo-runs, long range kicking and disciplined tackling.

Big mention to all our parents too for making everyone available – it was a fantastic St Pats turnout. We do it all again this Saturday morning 29th in a blitz at John Mitchells against a variety of opposition…details & poll to follow during the week. There will be no U10 training Sunday to give them a well-earned rest.

U11 Boys

St Pats U-11’s had no game last week, so we were training last Sunday. We had a good turnout and we worked on our kicking and handling skills. It’s important all our players continue to attend our training sessions and also keep practicing the skills at home during the week…. Naomh Pádraig Abú!!

.

U12 Girls

Well done to our girls who played very well against Cordal last night in Blennerville. We got some great scores and put some great passages of play together. We had a great turnout, and all the girls played their part. We won’t train this Sunday but will train on Wednesday from 5:30pm to 6:30pm and again on Sunday week from 11am to 12pm. Our next game is provisionally scheduled for Tuesday July 9th at home to Milltown Castlemaine.

U13

U13 St Brendan’s Town League

Our U13s lost at home to Ardfert in front of a large home crowd on Wednesday evening. It was a competitive game even though we lost by a wide margin. Ardfert u13s are a very strong side but we gave them a good game and played very well.

We were desperately unlucky to have a number of shots hit the woodwork, and the Ardfert keeper also made a couple of outstanding saves.

The boys put in a huge effort and put together some great moves. We lacked a bit of composure in possession and kicked the ball away too often.

However, we fought really hard to stay in the game and the coaches cannot fault the effort. The performance was a huge improvement on our last match against Ardfert. The coaches are really proud of the boys even though the result was disappointing.

If we can play to that level in the next phase of games, we will get the results to match the effort! We’ll train again next week on Monday and Wednesday at 6pm.
