Stacks Club Are Kerry Champions In Latest Funding From Munster Council

The Austin Stacks club received the most amount of funds in the latest allocation from the Munster GAA Council.

AUSTIN Stacks are not only top dogs in Kerry on the field, but they are also the club that got the most funds from the Munster GAA Council in their 2014 Development Grant Scheme.

The Munster GAA Council has announced details of the 2014 Scheme, funding club and school capital development projects to the tune of over €1m across the province.

Kerry Clubs benefited to the tune of €154,500 and Austin Stacks received the highest allocation in Kerry at €29,700.

Other clubs or schools in the Tralee area to receive funding were John Mitchels €17,205, Churchill €6,986, Ballymacelligott €6,233, St Pats Blennerville €4,338 and Spa National School, Churchill €5,000.

These grants were presented to the various recipients at the Cordal GAA Club recently by the Cathoirleach Comhairle na Mumhan, Robert Frost.

The full list of all fifteen clubs and one school which received funding is as follows;

Austin Stacks €29,700, Ballymacelligott €6,233, Brosna €6,236, Churchill €6,986, Cordal €13,481,  Duagh €3,215, Firies €12,500,​Glenbeigh/Glencar €14,505, Glenflesk €4,140, John Mitchels €17,205, Kilcummin €12,500, Rathmore €7,065, Spa €5,912, St Pats Blennerville €4,338,  Waterville €5,434, and Spa National School, Churchill €5,000.

Kerry Clubs spent over €1m in the purchase, development and upgrading of their facilities in the period August 2013/August 2014. Based on the number of Clubs within the County, Kerry is again to the forefront within the province of Munster in the Development of Club Facilities.
