GREAT news for the Beauty Therapy Department at Kerry ETB Training Centre in Monavalley Industrial Estate.

They have received International recognition for the standard of their training and the quality of their students following their successful examinations for an internationally recognised diploma course with CIDESCO.

CIDESCO is an International awarding body for beauty therapy qualification and is regarded as the highest standard accrediting body for Beauty Therapy in the world.

“Trainees in beauty therapy will now have a world recognised qualification which is held in the highest regard and prestige globally,” said Tara O’Halloran Cronin, Beauty Therapy Department at Kerry ETB Training Centre.

“This qualification will add enormous benefit to the employment opportunities available to my trainees and I am looking forward to an ongoing association with CIDESCO”.

“Standards are high to match the value of the qualification and that students must achieve a 70% pass rate which is unique to Beauty Therapy,” she said.

The International Examiner for CIDESCO, Janet Rose, has been carrying out exam supervision and assessment of trainees in beauty therapy in Tralee.

She was also on hand to present awards to some of the top students in the beauty department.

The winner of student of the year was Michelle Mangan from Killorglin. Thesis of the year went to Nuria Lopez Izquierdo while Bernadette Casey won the performance award.
