CH Tralee has announced their annual Christmas Parade on the streets of Tralee and their Santaland experience instore, have once again been cancelled this year.
The parade traditionally signals the official beginning of the festive season in town and is enjoyed by hundreds of people who line the streets in the town centre. CH Tralee broke the news on its social media pages on Friday evening.
“The entire CH team needs to work well in advance to make this magical time of the year really special,” read the post on Facebook from Peter and Claire Harty and all the CH team.

“That is why we have at this time decided that in the interest of public safety we will once again rest our street parade and grotto.”
“Our community has worked tirelessly to protect each other for such a long time and CH remains steadfast in supporting the effort to protect everyone from this virus. While we acknowledge that people will be disappointed, it is important that everyone can stay safe and enjoy Christmas at home with their loved ones.”
Christmas will be celebrated at CH this year as we once again pay tribute to the community that has supported us for over fifty years. CH will again select three local charities to support this festive season. Our own wish this year is that Christmas will be truly special for you and yours.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you kindly for your support and we look forward to welcoming you in-store in the future,” concludes the post.
