THIS week Churchill GAA are holding their annual summer Gaelic Football Cúl Camp for boys and girls in the U6, U8, U10 and U12 age groups.

The summer camp is taking place in Churchill GAA grounds and runs from Monday to Friday.

“It’s been going great,” said camp co-coordinator John Griffin.  “We’ve over 50 or 60 kids enjoying themselves we’ve been lucky with the weather as well. The coaches have been very enthusiastic and the kids got their kits yesterday so they are delighted today.”

“We’ve been putting an emphasis on the basic skills of football, we’ve had plenty of fun games. At the end of the day their parents are paying money for them to be here so it’s very important that they are learning and improving their skills,” said John.

“It’s great to see kids who mightn’t be involved with a club playing football and making new friends,”  he added.
